Not sure how I feel about them.
Especially when they get into the high dollar zone.
I think I'd rather just spend the cash for one name on the blade.
Maybe when I can see obvious influence one way or the other but most times they come off looking generic or lost.
Thoughts?
 
Personally, my past experience (emphasis on "past") has been that resale value on most collabs tends to be lower than one might expect, and almost always less than if not a collab.

But if purchasing for use without any regard whatsoever for real current or later value, just go for it if it's what you want.
 
It all depends on the knife. Hard to get a consensus answer.

How do you value the piece below. It is a collaboration of six giants (Edmund Davidson, Steve Johnson and Wolfgang Loerchner, heat treat by Paul Bos, engraved by Barry Lee Hands, Paul Long Sheath)

I have a Fisk/Caffery/Wheeler colab and several others, all good by me. :)
