This blade was made by Swedish bladesmiths Conny Persson and Roger Bergh--- ladder pattern damascus. I did all the handle work--- fire-cracker damascus guard, ferrule blackwood handle, and damascus pommel nut (not in pics).

Not an advertisement... it's sold.

Thanks for looking! :D

Okay, that's irritating... I renewed my membership and it said it won't upload the picture!

Nick,

Email to me I'll post it, it may be too big. I'll put it in your post.
Max size is 800 X 600 and 100KB. I can size it down, although I hate doing that, with Photoshop at home.

By the way - good to see ya getting a little practice in. ;)

Here ya go Nick.........by way of 'Blade Gallery'.

Hey, thanks Dawkind! :D

Yes, I'm computerally challenged ;)

Thanks!

I think all your computer skills went into your biceps! :)

Seriously, here's one skill that's easy, you might find it useful.

All you needed to do to get the pics into your post, like Dudley did, is:

Find the pic on the net you want to post here, right click on it, then left click on "Properties" in the window that drops down. You'll see a small blue window appear, in that window, you will see the url ie. address of that picture, it will begin with "http://" (without the quotes) left click on it a couple of times quickly, until the entire address is highlighted in black, remember to make sure it started with that http:// then, when it is highlighted, right click on any part of the highlighted text, then left click on "Copy".

Then, you're done there, go to your post, type in:
cursor right after that [img], right click and then left click on "Paste", that address should appear just after that [img] then, at the very end of the address, you type in
so, what you will have is:

[ing]http://bladegallery.com/pics/bgknife3705.jpg[/ing] (I misspelled img with an "n", if I hadn't, the picture would have been there instead of what I wanted you to see.

If you did it correctly, the picture will pop up in the post like it did in Dudley's post.

Of course, unless it is your website, you should make sure the person who owns the WS is OK with you using his picture, even if it's your knife, because it's his bandwidth, and it's always good form to give picture credit as well, as Dudley rightfully did.

This is a useful thing to learn, if you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Actually, it all went to my quads... good thing, it's squats tonight

Thanks very much Ari!!! I figured it wasn't too extremely difficult, but I didn't know. Now I do, thanks! :D

Superb work Nick!

You better call the Guiness Book of World Records.
I think that it was up on BladeGallery for less than 5 minutes before it was sold!

Thanks guys :D

With all the fancy mosaics that I've made... and the REALLY fancy ones some of the guys out there can do... this simple ladder with the steel make-up Conny used... gained some of the most popular response as to the beauty of the pattern. They really nailed the steel!

I made one change. There were no dropped edges, and I couldn't get the design to flow in my mind without "forged in edges" with that edge drop. So I ground/finished the new choils, then masked the entire blade and etched just those areas to match.

Daggers are kind of a love/hate thing... I love 'em!

Thanks! :D

Pride of ownership is high on this one, you can bet.

EDITED TO ADD:
Thanks for the big pics, Meg!
