My Father is a big Firearms collector and recently gave me a whole bunch of knives. I have a Ka-Bar USMC Bowie with small butt plate (I've seen this in a book and beleive it is 1940-1945) what is it worth and what kind of blade steel? It's in poor shape. A kukri style knife made in India w/sheath and two smaller knives, it's about 12 inches long. What is the slot near handle used for? A mini sword type knife with hand guard made by High Standard Sporting Firearms. Has "Designed By Jim Dickson" on blade and "C.S.A." in gold on handle. #924 on spine of handle. Excellent condition. A Buck #313 looks old maybe 50s. A Ka-Bar #1063 guessing same age. A Schrade "spike knife" maybe for deep sea fishing? Has large spike and spike release mechanism (pocket knife). Old Boker 3 blade pocket knife. Old Victorknox "Hiker" (has Hiker in chrome inlay w/man and pinetrees in scale) also says Economy on blade and Rostfrei (rustfree) is this old? Last but not least, "Don Carlos" looks like a reverse carpet knife. Has 2 crossed keys on one end above "Don Carlos" Solingen-Germany Friedr.Herder Abr. Sohn and Spade opposite end. Wood handle w/ Aluminum butt.
Any details would be greatly appreciated.
