When a friend looked over my small assortment of khuks, (and I do mean small- eight in all) he said he thought it worthwhile; handmade, quality, one of a kind. And I could leave them to three sons.

I kiddingly asked Rusty and Semper fi each what they were doing yesterday- both having succumbed and purchased a deal. (might as well call the blems deals- they really aren't true blems very often.)

I asked Rusty what he was doing with another WWll. He told me. It made sense, I guess, if someonelse's idiosyncratic mysticism makes sense. He said he gave a khuk away to a soldier in Afganistan and needed a backup for his 16 inch WWll. You know, a back up for a product that will outlive Rusty.

Four of my khuks have been given away, and as everyone knows, every khuk you give must be replaced with two.

Here I am again. Wanting khuks. Oh, I could explain it to you. About how I must replace the WWll 18", get a big Ganga Ram for chopping, a Berk special someday when I'm ready for the expenditure.

Then there's the M43 that's always eluded me.

When these are accomplished, that's it. Right?

If Uncle Bill would only sell firearms, there'd be no reason to ever leave.

"...the only reason Yandgu threw this in the blem box was because there is a small chip in the grip checkering..."

"...%50 off my price, today only, delivered to your door for $55. Barely covers the shipping."

The mystical M43 has eluded me as well. That crazy Duck always grabbed them. :(

<sigh> One of these days...........

I'm staying away from puukkos. Someday I'll get a JKM and that will be nice.

I know. Unless one of you deliberately provoke me further, that will hopefully stop puukoo exploration right there.

You mean by posting a link to Kellam Knives or something?:D

Seriously, Munk, puukkos are great knives. They really seem to go well with khukuris, even though they come from entirely different cultures.

Munk,

Picture a nice 5" carbon steel puukko as a karda. The Iisakki patterns typically come with a tapered bolster that would slide right in to the karda slot. I just can't seem to outbid the $&$#&^% "miniature" collectors, who are willing to pay more - and more -- for less and less puukko.

YOu guys just wont leave this alone, will ya? The JKM isn't enough for you? I have to buy several puukkos, er uh, pukos?

Do you realize I am in debt to Uncle Bill again for a considerable amount of my allowance for the fiscal year 2004?

I guess I might need one or two pukos as well! What surprise me is that some pukos also has it's own 'karda'! Is there any pukos that has it's own 'chakma' as well?

I feel your pain brother! I don't buy a lot of khukuris, but I buy a lot more than I should!HeHe
But I only buy just certain special ones Honey. This one will be the last for a long time, Honest Dear!
Do any of those phrases sound familiar? They do to my lady!! She is kind and gentle with me though. She knows that I am only a little boy (of 48) that can't control his urge for shiny and sharp toys.
My collection is getting sort of plump. Thankfully, I have all I need, for now that is.
