Hello: I've been carrying pocket knives (never heard the term slip joint until recently!) for 60 years or so and collecting them off and on for at least 25.

I recently started to specialize in American Shrades. I love Case knives, but their prices are a bit rich for this retired blue collar guy. Shrade was always the working mans blade and that's me!

Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you in advance for your passion, your expertise, and for your interest in this very interesting company. Over the next couple of days I'll post pictures of some of my recent pick-ups.

So, that's it. Talk to you all soon.

Welcome. Look forward to seeing your knives and sharing collecting stories.

Hi from Australia, some of use over here have been collecting Schrade knives for 10, 20 and even 30 years.Ken

took me a while to do this, entire Indian Collection plus Lance knife. Got over 100 more. All older USA made. A very much over looked company IMO.

I've been attempting for the last 2 days to post photos of a few of my knives but have been frustrated and have not succeeded. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Shoot pictures outdoors in the shade on a natural tan to brown backround. DO NOT use a flash. Morning is often best.

Use tinypic.com to upload your pictures to their website, then copy and past the IMG code in the post. Or you can use photobucket, dropbox, any website that hosts JPG image files. If necessary kidnap a neighborhood kid and bribe them to show you. ;)

Your code will look like the line above but it will use brackets [ ] instead of parenthesis ( )

The photos I want to upload are on my computer. I don't have a website. My problem is that I can't seem to find a way to upload from my own computer.

You can't upload pictures to BladeForums directly from your computer. You will have to load them to a Web Hosting site like Tinypic.com. It's a free service. Then the image tags are used to reference the pictures from the TinyPic website into the forum posts. It's the method you have to use. Bladeforums does not wish to host all of the thousands of pictures.
