My first 3 Cold Steel knives. Many more to come. What's next....? Maybe SR1 Lite?

Since the voyager is the most affordable tri-ad XL folder, it's a reasonable choice. But it's not as sexy as a Talwar. You could buy one Talwar and never feel the need or desire for another XL folder. Something I cannot say for myself owning voyagers. Food for thought.

If you want Magnum Tantos, you can still get them in 3V for under $300.00 if you shop around, and the Magnum Tanto II can be found for under $200.00.

The Magnum Tanto II and XII in San Mai III so far haven't gone up in price.

Why is it a bad time?
Cold Steel has been purchased by GSM. Some of the knives that cold steel used to make they don't make anymore. And I suspect the quality will go down as well. They don't sharpen knives anymore. They don't cover it for a lifetime guarantee. They don't cover normal wear and tear. And talking to them on the phone is like talking to idiots and they don't cover any knife that has been disassembled. So they're basically is no warranty

The Cold Steel we all know and love is basically on “borrowed time” now. I was trying to be hopeful after the GSM acquisition that things would continue as usual. But it has become apparent now that is highly unlikely.
Yes, the Voyager line is one of their best bang for the buck CS products. The American Lawman is considered by many to be among the best edc blades you can get…just a suggestion.
