Why is it a bad time? It's kind of a bad time to start a cold steel collection. But if you look around you'll probably find what you want. I second the Voyager you can't go wrong
Cold Steel has been purchased by GSM. Some of the knives that cold steel used to make they don't make anymore. And I suspect the quality will go down as well. They don't sharpen knives anymore. They don't cover it for a lifetime guarantee. They don't cover normal wear and tear. And talking to them on the phone is like talking to idiots and they don't cover any knife that has been disassembled. So they're basically is no warrantyWhy is it a bad time?
Also GSM is using the Cold Steel name to sell knives made of lower end steel at high end prices. Don't fall for that. Why is it a bad time?

The Cold Steel we all know and love is basically on “borrowed time” now. I was trying to be hopeful after the GSM acquisition that things would continue as usual. But it has become apparent now that is highly unlikely. Why is it a bad time?
