Yeah right, who cares? I am one of those curious folks though. Kind of wondering who has been prolific and who wound up with most of their stuff I guess. For me, I have a near tie between Sher-the Tiger (8 pieces) and Dil (7 pieces) as the Kamis who have made most of my collection so far. Kumar comes in third with 5 pieces and sadly for me, the Royal Kami Bura is a distant fourth with only TWO, tied with his apprentice, Young Sher Bhadur who has also made two of my pieces. The last three Kamis on my list, with one piece each are Lok, Murali and Get.

I still have a few items inbound that I don't know which Kami was the originator though and I am also fairly to all of this. I have a decent sized collection but I know some of you have been doing this since Uncle Bill sold his first blade here and have likely hundreds of them.

Anyway, I hope to maybe get a little demographic spread on where some of each Kami's output wound up landing. :o

I have one Young Sher: WWII. And one Dil: Bilton.

Also in the order acquired. Hoping to add many more.

Heck, I even forgot one, I have one from Dharan as well, the little Baby Kagas Katne I bought. :)

Stickfred, you may have it bad but at least you have a good group of people treating you well. I have to buy all of mine myself. No gifted's on my list. :(
Well, I do have one but it is actually payment for fixing up a messed up Khuk for a friend...

OIC! Well that I have done. I have given more than a few away already and will be giving my little nephews (ages 7 and 5)a pair of the Kagas here in May when I see them so they can get the fever too. By all means then, give away! May your friends know how good you treat them sir!

Well, my collection has done a bit of growing and so the Kami break down has also changed...
so I figured I may as well update the thread with the new totals.

Top Kami is still The Tiger, Sher @ 10 pieces
next up is Dil with 7 pieces
Kumar is in third with 5 pieces
Bura now has 4 pieces
Young Sher, his apprentice has 3 pieces
Lok and "Shop One" are tied @ 2 pieces
The following Kamis all have One (1) piece each:
Chainpuri
Dharan
Durba
Get
Murali
Sgt. Khadka

An impressive collection indeed warty. I'm envious. How did you get hold of a Durba? Did you go speulunking and wrestle it away from some old, frail man in a Research coat? A great start though on the 200 or so HI models. Kudos

Rick

My extensive HI collection (no laughing allowed) consists of the following

Young Sher Bhadur
1 x 12" Chirwara Ang khola

Dil
2 x bilton

Lok
1 x 14" kumar karda

We all have to start somewhere.

They really are beautiful pieces and I am slowly building up my collection as the "infection" gets a hold, being on the other side of the globe doesnt help a lot. Slowly but surely I will end up with a few more, fingers crossed.

Surprisingly we have and have had quite a few great customers from down under. And quite a few from the great white north, The international shipping doesnt seem to slow em down all that much, when the global econ is good, but things have been really tight for everyone these days.
