for you that collect fixed blade knives how do you display them, or do you store them just curious Mike

I store mine, as in they aren't on the walls in glass. I'm too worried about theft, having them all packed up like that. I keep mine in vintage wooden boxes, each containing a rotation of about 6 or so knives. The boxes are in a vault and only one box is out for a week or so with my carries.

Some of the displays are great though and I can see why people do it. I've just known that feeling before and don't want to have it again.

I dont display mine either. For the same reasons as echoil. I store mine in a 4 drawer husky tool box with tool box liner, that is locked up and also in a safe that is bolted to the floor.

I keep mine in one of those hard plastic/egg crate foam lined handgun cases you can get for $15-$20, fits 6-8 depending on size. Need to get a bigger solution soon tho...

Edit: lol missed the word "fixed" in the OP, only have one of those sits on a counter somewhere....

I don't have any fixed blades. Yet.. But I do store some good sized folders and auto's in a display case and they look awesome. The site below is where I ordered it from. And it was cheap!! I think I paid 60 bucks total for it with shipping.
They offer all kinds of sizes, so you can order what ever size you think will fit your knives.

Here are my knives displayed in it. If you are looking to display them, this may be a nice, cheap solution. My pic below shows it with the top open, which is glass of course and the latches lock if you want to.
