Collection storage tips?

Do you take any special precautions to store your collection? I'm primarily concerned with rust on my carbon-steel blades. Aside from using coatings or TufCloth and the like, do you do anything special?

Whatever you do do not store them in foam lined cases. I cant count how many guns I seen ruined by being stored in cheap foam lined cases that are meant primarily for transportation. In a very short time they are eat up with rust. I wipe my knives down with tetra gun and keep them in a zippered case in my safe.

How do you guys feel about dehumidifiers? I'm running a goldenrod in my safe to keep the guns dry, but am a little concerned that it could dry out some knife handle materials.
