Very nice collection, some great pieces in that album. I agree with you, getting to see other forum member's collections is a lot of fun.

All the knives in the world go round and round, round and round, round and round...DAMN, one of them took my wallet !!! :)

Quite a nice collection you have put together. How long did it take you ? Most of the knives seem like newer models so it would appear you started fairly recently.

Hi Strider, most of the knives are of recent vintage, but I have many more from earlier times. I'll have to break out some of the earlier stuff one of these days and put up their pics, too. Most of my early knives are production and/or commemorative pieces which are not nearly as intersting to most. I have a complete collection of the Blade magazine yearly knives and a complete set of the knives they used to make to commemorate the Blade Show. I'm sure most of the whippersnappers on this forum don't even have an idea what the show knives are all about. I'll see if I can get a few of the early interesting pieces up soon.

Blademan, the Mayo knife is a copy of the one you designed, except it is made from BG42 and black micarta. Beautiful piece of work.

A hossom millenium bowie.. very good taste.. was that a custom or were you at the blade show? =)

The Hossom bowie is a custom. I was not able to attend the Blade show. Jerry is finishing up a matching 7" bowie to make a set. When I receive it, I'll post a picture of the two together.
BTW, I put a few more pieces on the site last evening, some of which are a few years older. I'll try to break out some older, fairly unusual knives over the weekend and get pictures up.

Wonderful collection Charlie. Quite breath taking.

3 questions:

1. Is the Bagwell the Ontario piece or his custom?

2. How do you display your knives?

3. What are your favorite users? ANy absolute favorite?

Really enjoyed looking at this. Thought to myself, "so that is what that knife looks like"!

Hi Greg,
The Bagwell pictured on the site now is the real thing by Bill. Later tonite I will take a picture of the copy and the original together and post it.
Who could have a favorite user out of that bunch. With so many different styles for so many different uses, I could never choose a favorite.
As far as display, I have a toy room (armored) with many book cases and the knives are laid out on the shelves.

Glad you're all enjoying them.

I just received a new bowie from the Jones brothers of Danville, VA. It is a JK-18 with a modified 7" blade. There is a picture of it in my PhotoPoint site. You can follow the above link to see it, if interested. If you have not seen the handiwork of Barry and Phillip Jones, you're missing a real treat.

I also tried taking outdoor photos of some of the knives I already had pictured on the site. I'm sure you'll agree that most of them came out better than the indoor ones they replaced. Lighting still kicks my butt,
though.

Charlie

Hi Charlie Thanks for Sharing your Photo's. You have some great knives! And quite the variety of makers.

Happy Collecting
Ken

Nicely done, HDCharlie!
