Collector's Benchmade SBT710 for sale

This is a mint 710SBT, comboEdge/BT2 coating/G10 handle. Note, I think it is G10, not really sure as this is the first knife in this run. ATS-34 metal. This is the knife that started the Axis locking mechanism. Purchased in 1999 (Not by me but I have the receipt). The box is a bit screwed-up as the person I bought it from actually put manila tape on the box itself when he shipped it. One of the first 2000 made in the first production run. Mint, nothing but minor wear from being in a box for so long. More pics available if you send me an email.

So I know it is XMas-time and everyone is saving money for presents, so, price drop.

Now, you experts chime in here; this is knife 1 of 2000 for the FIRST PRODUCTION RUN. I would assume this is the first production knife in the 710SBT line. Hi civdiv, I tried to send you an email but was not allowed. Just FYI, the "1 of 1000" on the blade actually means 'one of the first thousand' and not 'the first (#1) of the first thousand'. At one time, I had three 710's just like the one in your picture (I still have one of them, would post a pic but it's clipped to a pocket on my work pants right now) and all 3 had "1 of 1000" (first production run) on the blade... sorry... :(

Thanks Samuel, fixed the email thing, thanks for pointing that out. And thanks for the info, I'm glad I asked as I don't want to provide false info for potential buyers.

Bump. I guess I paid too much for this blade as it is now cheaper than what I paid for it. Much cheaper. I would prefer to sell it here as you guys are more educated and will respect the blade.
