Hey folks,

I thought i would give a sneak preview to Club members of the August newsletter due out in about 2 weeks. There is an article about the classification and identification of the old Lucite handled knives. This has never been done before and the whole project took about 2 years to complete. Some Lucite knives are more coleectable than others and this article was done in the hopes of giving collectors the knowledge they need in order to make more informed buying/trading decisions.

Take care,

Joe,

As always, and with great anticipation, I am looking forward to receiving my next newsletter. Did you write the article on the lucite handled knives?

John,
Yes i wrote the article. Actually i wrote it, changed it, edited in, threw the whole thing out and started over again several times! If the truth be known, i am right now pondering weather or not i will have it in the newsletter at all. It seems like every time i take another look at the 100 plus lucite/lignum vitae knives on my floor, they tell me a little more of their story. I want to make sure i get it right.
Stay tuned!

Better late than never, they'll probably put that on my headstone!
The newsletter is going to the printer tomorrow. It will be late.

I hope it will be worth the wait.

Well gee Joe, if some people weren't out fishing maybe they could get some work done

By the way any luck ?
Of course if one never goes fishing now and then you wind up beating your head against the wall.

Mike,

Glad to hear you got your newsletter finally! I welcome any comments regarding the lucite article. Next issue will take off where that one ended and hopefully go through the early 1960's when we incorporated. Got any barrel nut knives?

Dave,
Thanks for the comments on the Lucite article. I'm sure the fishing had something to do with it and plan on budgeting for several trips next year. Do you think Chuck would get upset if i asked for a guided Elk hunt too?

See you soon.
