The Las Cruces Gun and Knife show is about to get under way in the Morning. Buck Collectors are represented here with a three piece team now showing. Complete with Buck Mascot, 'Scout 107'. Exhibitors were arriving today and setting up. This was taken just before our departure to the Colonel's for supper. We expect our members to be showing up tomorrow in full strength. DM

Great, Kim. We always look forward to seeing and visiting with you and the Mrs.. Bring a cool story and Thank You for Serving. DM

Drats CodyCash. Maybe next time though. This will be my last one here in NM. Got orders to the Springs here in April.

Jumping ahead a bit David, here is the photo from earlier.
David left, Myself in the middle, and my lovely Mrs on the right. :)

Also, posting my find from the show:

Don't know much about it, aside from my short google search and the website from the label on the blade, but I know that I am loving it! :D

You have put together a terrific presentation Dave. WOW! Top drawer, sophisticated and cutlery to inspire. Well done and congratulations. I would dearly love to see close shots of your display boxes in order to see the knives within. I bet that I am not alone in this wish.

If I were to walk in off the street and see your table I would want to know more about Buck knives and be itching to join the Buck Collectors Club. Excellent work. Thank you for posting this thread. Have a ball.

Thank you John and Oregon. I had a great chat with Kim and his Mrs.. Yes, many patrons stopped to stare at my Buck display... In disbelief that someone would assemble such a collection and haul it around to shows for the expressed purpose of displaying and talking with people to educate them about the collectors and various models Buck makes. In this part of the US folks don't see a display of Buck knives. So, we get some genuine responses. We are having a grand time. Not to mention the Bar-B-Que beef sandwiches are very tasty here. DM

What David is NOT saying is that he pays for that table out of his own pocket. And it is over a 100 $. I took up his table two years ago and he paid for the table and let me display. I tried to reserve and pay for a table beside him this year and there is a waiting list for tables at this show. It is a very nice show. I know it is in the country of long distances but if you are BCCI and in a semi circle from Albuq. south you should go. Las Cruces Mexican food is outstanding, The Border Patrol highway drive thur x-ray stop had fun with my box of knives........300

David check on me a possible table beside you for next year..............300Bucks

Kim, Be sure to change you BCCI stuff to all Email so you won't miss any newsletters. My hunting buddy in Denver says they have some good shows....

300Bucks,

Thanks! I do need to get in there and update that. I thought I did at one point, but that is probably me being forgetful.

Thanks 300 and Doug. We had a great time today and it was nearly as heavy traffic as Saturday. Met a good many folks who stopped by or brought in a Buck knife for me to see and inform them about. Even Sarah our Buck Youth member was able to come and spend the day with us at the show. I wondered if it had something to do with the Convention Center being full of guys and Bar-B-Que. As girls get hungry too. It was good having most of our family present at this show. But it was our dog 'Scout' who got the most requests from show staff for visits. Which if you met this dog you'd understand as Sarah has trained her to do all kinds of tricks. Hope you'll consider putting together a Buck collection and displaying it someday. It is great fun! Thanks, David
