Sal:

Within the past few months I've heard bits and pieces regarding a Spyderco Collectors Program. Those enrolled get access to limited first run knives (and who knows what else).

Can you provide more details (cost, enrollment requirements, etc.)? Is the program open to mere mortals?

Thanks...

Joel

I sure like the sound of that! Sal is this true? What would one have to do to join?

Yowza, me too!

Also Sal, how about making a special run of a slightly unique model of one of your production pieces that has a "Bladeforums" engraving? I'd gladly organize the folks and orders.

Benchmade made a "rec.knives" Mel Pardue variation that was wildly successful. I think they had over 200 and really built up a lot of loyal Benchmade owners. I'd love to see the same thing with Spydie!

That's right! Sure could use a forum knife. Titanium scaled Police with a flat ground plain edge CPM440V.

Just answered that on the Starmate thread. Spyderco numbers the first 200 pieces that go to regular Spyderco collectors. We've been doing his for more than 10 years. The requirement is that you have to buy each model when it's offerred of you lose the number. Occasionally nunbers go up for sale for one reason or another. I've seen collections sell for large amounts. Surprized me. If you have interst in this, please contact Nancy, One of our sales specialists at Spyderco. She has the responsibility of the Collector pieces. Primarily becuase she voluntteered years ago and handles it so well. Last I heard, there were a few numbers available.
