Collectors: Value of Benchmade Mini-AFCK?

Gurus and collectors, I was pondering letting my Benchmade Mini-AFCK go to a more loving home but would like some input on a fair price. This knife looks about 95% and has original box and paperwork. Back then the scales were labeled with the old school Bali-song emblem, one of which has a slight scuff. Other than that, the pocket clip has no visible wear, the blade coating is clean, no substantial wear anywhere.

It looks exactly like the knife in this review:

Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

TO be honest, I do not think it will bring a premium as it is a combo edge with black coating.

If it was satin finish with PE, it would go for a little bit more. (I am NOT offering to buy it, but) I would be willing to shell out around $120 for one like yours if I was in the market for a Mini AFCK. Some people may pay more than that and some may not pay as much (just depends on where you try to sell it) and I think $120 would be a fair price for both parties.

These don't come up too often anymore, and the last two I seen on here I bought, and that has been over the spand of a year or so. One was LNIB with paper work and all PE satin finsh and I paid around $120. I just bought another one Friday and paid $55, but it has no box or paper work and has been used. It's a great EDC knife and if you don't NEED the money, you may want to hold on to it (JMHO).

Best of luck to you,
John

Thanks a lot John, I appreciate it. I certainly don't need the money and may just put it in the safe. I guess you (read:me) always try to justify buying the latest and greatest Benchmade. Sell one, buy more!

I'd be interested in hearing others' input as well.

Either sell it or trade it off for something you'd want more. Sale value, I'd say around $100 or so. Plain edged blades are worth more true, but the AFCK's are good knives to use as well. If undecided hold onto it for a while and put it aside to see if you miss it or don't! :)

Big_Red,

Welcome to the forum. :)

You managed to find the most popular blade forums site on the planet. If I were you I would purchase a Gold membership which allows you to sell knives here on this site not to mention supporting it and gaining many other benefits here as well. A fine value for about .06 cents per day USD.

Regarding your question as to value of your knife, its difficult to say without several close up and clear photographs of the piece with any precise accuracy. However, I would hazard an estimate in the current economy you are looking at a window of likely $95.00 -$105.00 + or - based on your description.

Best,

Anthony

If anyone is still reading this post.. any idea what a mini-AFCK, satin blade, ATS-34 steel, partially serrated liner lock, with round hole knife be worth? I just picked this one up on ebay for $60 shipped. I was rather bummed when I got it as I thought that it was the full sized AFCK :-( Oh well. This is a very knice knife, although it has been used and is missing one of the Balisong emblems on the left side. The blade is in good shape, no wiggle or blade play. The serrations are still in usable shape, though they are a littel dull. I am just wondering if I got a good deal or not. Thanks!

Oh okay. Thanks. Sorry didn't know it was against the rules. Just wanted to find out if I got a good deal or not. Either way I feel that it is worth what i paid for it.
