college kid with a problem finding esee/becker

Hey, I'm currently a college student in the great state of Alabama. I'm looking at buying either a BK11/BK14 or an esee izula. I can only find them online though and cannot have them shipped to my campus mailbox. Anybody know of any knife dealers in west/central Alabama that carry Becker/Esee knives in store? Much appreciated
 
Could you request at the post office that your packages be held for pickup? Then you could order from anywhere online, watch the tracking, and just run out and pick it up when it arrives. That would mitigate the mailbox restriction.
 
Marks outdoors in birmingham. I know they carry esee. Not an exhaustive selection of knives but definitely way better than any other outdoor suppliers in the area. Also a great local supplier and great customer service. You can also look at bass pro shops south of bham, but their stuff is marked up pretty high.
 
Does the college require identification/declaration of what the contents are of every package?

Since ESEE is based in Alabama, Galiant specifically, you may want to give them a call and see if they'll sell you one that you can pick up at their facilities. Great reason for a road trip.

Yeah. I doubt that they check the contents of every box or at all and I don't think they'd be suspicious of a package from Amazon or something. Also, do you know for sure if it's prohibited? There is a chance that they do allow it.
 
I believe there is a knife shop in Huntsville. I haven't visited it, but it's there. Bass Pro may carry them in Prattville. Just thinking out loud here.

This. When I was in undergrad, I received quite a few folders and fixed blades from my school mailroom. Granted I didn't live on campus for most of that time, but I doubt that would have made a difference.
 
Make friends with somebody who lives off campus.... Maybe a pretty girl? Easy peasy.
