Collins & CO Hartford Axe

Good morning all. A few years back i found an old axe head while exploring an area where a sawmill stood prior to 1869 when the workers died.

It is stamped on one side (Collins &Co Hartford cast steel warranted

On the other side. 8116 and the number 2 at an angle.

I can find no other marks or stamps. Best I can research is the company rebranded to Collins manufacturing late 30s early 40s due to financial issues. This being marked collins&co makes me think it was made before that.

Any ideas? Thanks. Trying to add photos
