COLLINS hatchet or just Collins?

Just a Collins that somebody initialed.

Hello,
I picked up a couple of rusty hatchets recently. After a good soak this one revealed the word COLLINS. But, it's just the letters with no border. The other side has TF (True Temper ?) . So, I'm wondering is this a COLLINS hatchet or just a hatchet with the word COLLINS. What do you think?

Looks like it came that way from factory. Another example : https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-collins-camper-roofing-1559050670

Collins did have a problem with counterfeit axes.
With the ligitimus line.
I'm not sure why anybody would fake the Collins name on a dime a dozen half hatchet.
My guess is that it was made in the Mann era and for some reason they stamped it this way, maybe they were relying more on a sticker.

I have no good reason for my guess, it's just a feeling I have.
