COLLINS hatchet or just Collins?

Hello,
I picked up a couple of rusty hatchets recently. After a good soak this one revealed the word COLLINS. But, it's just the letters with no border. The other side has TF (True Temper ?) . So, I'm wondering is this a COLLINS hatchet or just a hatchet with the word COLLINS. What do you think?

That TF is not like any True Temper mark I’ve ever seen.

My "guess" is that this is someone's personal marking.
Coincendentaly, I realized that TF COLLINS could have been my dad!

I'm not sure why anybody would fake the Collins name on a dime a dozen half hatchet.
My guess is that it was made in the Mann era and for some reason they stamped it this way, maybe they were relying more on a sticker.

I have no good reason for my guess, it's just a feeling I have.
