Collins Nicholson Machete Identification

This machete belonged to my late grandpa and it was being left to rust at my grandma's house so she let me have it. I did my best to get the rust off, and I was wondering where/when my grandpa got it. It doesn’t have any Id names/numbers but from what I have seen it looks most similar to a 128 Guatemala.

Anything helps and if you happen to know how to remove the handle so I can clean the tang, that would be greatly appreciated.

They were produced when the Collins/Nicholson names were owned by Cooper Tool Group, which is now Apex Tool Group, owned by Bain Capital. It's most likely from 2010-2012.

It's unlikely that you would need to clean the tang. The machetes were lacquer-dipped so they'd be pretty well protected under the scales.
