Just curios if this Collins Pulaski has any age to it or just the normal newer issue for the Forest Service?

I can't believe the Forest Service would order late model Collins pulaskis. I've never seen one in service by the Forest Service.

Thanks, but not sure what “…sadly it looks like quite a lemon too.” Means.
He could be referring to the fact that twisted pulaskis are typically inferior to those with adzes forged perpendicular to the bit. Or he could be referring to the flat or hollow cheeks that late model Mann-Collins axes are known for. But my guess is that he's referring to that eye being so far off center. I can see why Mann wouldn't let that out with their stamp on it.

I found this Collins in a box with other Pulaski’s with broken handles at the scrap yard. I have seen this scraping of US Forest tools before at the scrapyard. There was also a Dragon Slayer Pulaski in the box, so I’m sure that it was from the Forest Service.

Well, I guess it worked well enough to break the handle!
