I am interested in this company and their products, as they apparently make some models of their knives in the U.S.A. as well as import other models.

I apologize if this has already been discussed, I tried to use SEARCH function and found lots of references to old Colonial knives as well as a few to the newer imported ones, but none seemed current or complete enough to satisfy my curiosity.

Apparently there are two divisions of this company, according to their website:

Colonial Cutlery International, Inc. (CCII) brand = imported line of knives
Colonial Knife brand = U.S. made knives

The website lists their product offerings, but it's pretty confusing. Most of their products on their website don't seem to list the country of manufacture. They also have a Facebook page.

I was curious if anyone has experience with the knives this company is still currently producing in the U.S.?

Yeah, the thing is that nobody has been able to locate any form of colonial factory since the original closed it's doors in 2004 I believe.
We have no clue who is producing the knives for colonial here in the US, but it's obviously not them.
There are a few forum members who have current colonial knives that they love, but I can't remember names.

I'd like to know for sure, but they're making out as if they're producing stuff themselves so we may never know for sure.

A couple years ago, I had reason to contact Colonial Knife.
I'll send the owner an email, and see if he'll shed any light on this.

I have been in contact with them on and off since December trying to identify an older well made knife I picked up back in 91. No luck to date... Do you know of another email address besides colonialcutlery@gmail.com?
