Colonial's Glory Days

Speaking of old Colonials, I got a pretty decent one this week off ebay. Its one of the shell handle models except in a pattern I haven't seen to often, a equal end cattle knife. Its typical construction for Colonial's from the 60's or thereabouts and has seen a little pocket time for someone, but it is in very good condition with excellent snap on all 3 blades, even has halfstops on all 3. The blades came coated with dried on grease, looked like cosmoline, and after cleaning them off they were nice and shiney for the most part. Only one blade had been sharpened, the other two still had the factory grind. Total cost - 1$ for the knife and 3 for shipping. Its a little sideline of mine to pick up one of these old Colonials or Imperials from time to time. Not because I think they will be valuable, but they remind me of a time when there was a display in every mom and pop type store and were in just about every kids pocket.

How would you guys value a set like that? I figure 12 knives x $70 (?) each, plus a 20% bonus for being a set with original carboard. That makes $1014 for a max bid.

I have no intention of bidding, and I don't want anyone to answer who is. But I'm curious how you would approach a situation like this.
