I picked up a couple colony knives yesterday. I heard these were made by schrade but all I see stamped on the tang is limited edition and S-W cut. with a number on the opposite side. and an eagle with a ribbon reading 1 of 3000 and the handle is serialized. how rare are these? were they really made by schrade? I was guessing the S-W meant schrade walden? any help on the colony knives would be greatly appriciated. also whats the value of'em.
thanks

LT just posted a picture of the framed set he is putting on display in Ellenville. Check it out!

Also, I just received a special issue Sharpfinger that might interest you. Thanks to Sheathmaker, we know they were made for True Value hardware in the late eighties/early ninties. The shield is stamped "Master Mechanic", the name of one of their private label tool lines, but I think it is the tangstamp you'll appreciate, MM! That is it! MM152! These are still available on eBay and Michael is a good guy to deal with too.

hah hah, thats pretty cool, never knew schrade made a sharpfinger to salute me LOL!. I picked a couple more of the colonies up off the guy, he's basically wanting to get rid of duplicates that he has, (ya know I got every muskrat pattern I could get:D ), also got one of the congress style two of the trapper style and a stockman style, all are dead ringers of thier schrade old timer counterparts.
see ya later
