Hi guys.

I have just recently recieved a M6 and an aviator and as listed as the black coat I guess.

However, the M6 is a brwny/coppery color and the aviator islike a US Navy blue/grey?????

I will get some pics up today, but is this normal?

I have had dozens of Reeves before as part of a collection and they were all black on black with the exception of a few OD ones I had...

Cheers!

Here are the pics...

Very normal. The actual color of the Kalgard is grey. I noticed the same thing with a few of mine. It usually disappears after I clean it up after use. It is just residual from the process of applying it and nothing to worry about. I notice it more on the larger knives.

I wonder why that is.... I love the blueish-gray color on that aviator, same as my Mountaineer I.

Does everyone typically remove the lanyards? I left mine on. I figure it's good for many things, pulling it out of the sheath, placing it around your wrist during use so you don't drop and lose the knife, especially good for keeping track of the butt cap if unscrewed.

I removed the lanyard on my Skinner one piece knife because I have a shoulder rig that carries the knife upside down and I didn't want the lanyard to snag on anything. In general I like short knotted lanyards, especially for the butt caps. Makes it easier to keep from dropping them or losing them.
