i know the folder law in colorado is pretty straight forward.....nothing more that 3.5"
I'm just curious if i can carry my RAT RC-4? (4.5") its pretty low profile with the kydex sheath on my hip, it doesnt print at all so one would really have to be looking, or hugging me to notice. i just want to know if it is legal...
I live in Weld county if laws are county specific

My personal understanding of the law when I lived in the state was that a fixed blade is subject to the 3.5 length limit.

so u are saying that the blade limit (folder or fixed) was 3.5"?
am i understanding u correct?
i know the folder limit is 3.5" because i had to call the police station to confirm....

Yes, the law sets a limit on both fixed and folders. Here is an excerpt:

"Knife" means any
dagger, dirk, knife, or stiletto with a blade over 3-1/2
inches in length, or any other dangerous instrument
capable of inflicting cutting, stabbing, or tearing
wounds, but does not include a hunting or fishing knife
carried for sports use. The issue that a knife is a
hunting or fishing knife must be raised as an affirmative
defense.
