I do a lot more readin in this forum than I do posting but I thought I'd show what I've been up to this week. I have been away from the shop vacationing in Colorado with the family. I have a large back order of knives right now so as soon as I get back home I'm going to have to get in gear and get some knives finished.

For now though, it's family time.

Me and the kids on a hike. My wife had dropped back a bit and was taking pictures without me knowing.

Of all of the times I've been to Colorado this is the first time I've ever seen bighorns. This was the first of two groups we have seen so far. The second group was about 6-8 rams and they were a lot farther away.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing.

It is rare for anyone to get that close to bighorn sheep.

Excellent pics! If more men put in that kind of time with their family, especially their kids, the world would be a much better place. Did ya'll cook those fish up?

Well I am far from a perfect dad but I have some pretty good memories of doing things like this with my dad. I want my kids to have those same kinds of memories.

Actually we did cook all of those fish up. There was more than we could eat but we gave it a good try.

That one cooked a little long but tasted great. A little butter, salt, pepper and lemon slices and the kids cleaned their plates. Made up some bruschetta and toasted some fresh bread to put it on too. That made momma happy.

It's hard to complain when a 3 and 6 yr. old eat all of their fish.

The pictures of the kids with the trout are priceless.

And those trout sure look good the way you cooked them.
