COLORED SubCom and Trance scales anyone?

Aloha ALL,

I have been after Boker FOR YEARS to add some color to the SubCom and Trance line up. I would personally love more colored scales on both models...and since I am mentioning scales, a Ti-Trance would be absolutely wicked IMHO.:thumbup:

The SubCom 42 is now available in PINK, and YES I do carry one. I carry it BECAUSE it's pink, and just different from my other Subbies not only in color, but it's a slippy.

SO...what say the rest of you?

Actually I would just buy the scales if they made them available... even if they sold them for $5 they would make plenty of money!!
 
titanium i like.

colored handles...not so much for me anyways. if they had grey, green, etc...i might have picked a different color than black, but it wouldn't likely get me to add another version of the same knife. of course i'm not a good representation of the general knife buying consumer either.

either way keep up the awesome designs. i keep adding more of your designs and i've yet to be let down by any of them.
 
Yeah, I'm definitely with you on both. I would love some sort of colour, green is my preference but that's just me. A colour to an already great line up of trances/subcoms would turn out really well. If you look at all the potterma mods that were popular some time ago you would see that colours would sell well.

A titanium trance is also a nice idea. I remember throwing that in when the titanium subcom was discussed, but it wasn't really met with enthusiasm. Too bad. I love that pattern/design and since mine's lock up is worn out I'd love to get another and would definitely like it to be stronger as mine's only a couple of years old and it's already begging to be replaced. :/

The Trance DP is my all time favourite smaller sized EDC folder, so a Ti version would be awesome.
Regarding the colors I'm in if it's not pink or baby blue. Coyote brown, orange or toxic green would be cool.

Agreed, drop point trance is also a favorite of mine.
I'd take a titanium and/or an orange-hi-viz.
 
Chad, what would it take for a Trance with titanium framelock, orange G10 scales and S30v (or better) steel? Because I'd buy at least two in that configuration.
 
Yes! Finally just picked up the pink subcom and I show it off to everyone! Hahaaa

I would love different colors for the Trance, too, which I have been carrying for the past several months. Tan, OD, grey, blue, pink.. any would be awesome.
 
Mahalo much everyone!!! Even the dudes in the UK are wanting a bit of color, and a Ti Trance!!! Speaking of which, gotta start that thread...again.
 
I'm into any color other than black. I don't mind black, really, but I'm to a point where I want a little more color in my collection.

Regarding pink:
I occasionally carry a pink knife, out of support for several women we know who have, or have had, breast cancer. It gets attention: as soon as somebody asks why I have a pink knife, and I explain why, they understand. Awkward at times, I know, but it helps to be reminded occasionally.

Oh, and it also helps folks get to know what a quality knife is. The guys usually are surprised at the utility of a small knife like the SubCom, and the ladies think it's cute. :)
