Colorful Spyderco's gone forever?

I recently ordered a Salt with a yellow handle, even though I have no need for a super-stainless blade in exchange for superior edge-holding VG10, just so I didn't have to have a black one.

I can't be the only one with a pile of too many black handle knives. What would be REALLY cool is a Delica with a yellow handle and a black blade.

Anyway, is there any chance at all that Spyderco will ever give us a variety of colors for the Delica or Endura again?

Hi Carl, welcome to the forum. The tan FRN Endura has been in dealer inventory for a couple months, a new sprint rund of the Delica, in blue FRN and ZDP-189 steel is due out next month. The Salt I, which is fairly "Delica-like" and Pacific Salt, which is fairly "Endura-like" are both available in yellow right now, albeit without a black blade. And, there is also a new sprint run of the Calypso Jr, in burgundy FRN with ZDP-189 blade due out in June.

So, at least to me, there does seem to be a slow but steady trickle of Spyderco knives with colored FRN handles. I have a hunch dealers are not too keen on the idea of having to stock one knife in six different colors at the same time, so producing a variety of colors simultaneously may not be good business.

Thanks for the heads up on those models! Half the time dealers have to special order stuff I want anyway, so I don't mind waiting for stuff that isn't in stock.

ZDP-189 is new to me, but I looked it up and it sounds impressive. If anyone else is needing info, here is a William Henry article about it:

How does that stuff compare to VG-10? I wasn't expecting the article to praise it so highly!

I have some colored Spydercos that you don't see very often. I have 2 colored Enduras ( Green & red). I also have 2 colored Dyads ( Green & Burgundy). Can anyone tell me more about them? Or where I could get more colored Dyads?
