Sorry, I cannot get this "smart" phone to post pictures.
Last year, I ordered a Colt Canoe with the Titanium coated carbon steel blades.
I had to go back to work, before it came in, and after a year in the road, I can finally check it out.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Very well made. No gaps between the springs or liners, even with a bright light.
The Ti coating looks like a nice, even, gray patina. The covers and bolsters are tight where they meet, and the long tail "C"'of the "Colt" script shield is flush. I believe the bolsters to be brushed stainless steel, time will tell.
Both the main spear point blade and pen secondary, appear to be designed for heavy use. They are both 1/8 inch at the spine. Both have a double swedge. Both blades are at least as sharp, possibly a little sharper than your average Opinel or SAK. Since the blades are twice as thick, it may not slice a tomato as thinly as a SAK or Opinel, though.
Both blades have around a 5 to 5.5 pull. Easy, but the blades are held tight open or closed. There is no blade wobble in any direction, open or closed.
Over all, I give this knife a 10. It is a good heavy duty canoe.
