Colt Knives “CT” Model Steel?

Looking for some info on the likely or exact steel used in Colt Knives CT Series, 440A, 440B?

Have a couple of examples that are stag handled.

Usually 440a, but also plain 420 and 440c were used, in that order. Without seeing the knives I'd always assume 440a, that was their main go to steel.

Agreed, 440a was the de facto steel used
