Is the Colt Python P.O.S or is it the real deal? Steel type? Does it have a reliable lock?

Me: That’s not a knife. That’s a knife.
Them: No, That’s a fork.

The models I've seen LOOK good, but they are 420J-2 (Blech!) Locks seem to be adequate, but I have not done the "Spinal whack test"--I don't think the store owner would have appreciated that one, knowing that I wasn't planning to purchase the piece. The knives are being subbed out to United Cutlery. Anyone out there own one?
-Redleg out.
