I am an avid knife collector, centered primarily in the WWII military stuff, but pick up the odd production knife now and again. A few months back I bought a Colt M4-K Fighter from Ebay for a rediculously low price of $32.00 or so. This is one sweet knife, a custom design by Fred Carter. It starts with a 1/4" steel bead blasted blade with the cryoedge sharpening. Man this is scary sharp for a colt. It's 9 1/2" inches overall and has beautiful anodized aluminum grips with kinda a sandpaper grit lazered into them. This is not the same knife as the poorboy Colt Combat Commander which you see lots of now. As soon as I received this knife I went back to the seller to get another, but alas they were gone. I don't see this knife anywhere now on Ebay. Just wondering if anyone else knows this knife and was as impressed as I was with it?

I have kinda wondered on how well made Colt knives are. I have always been a little weary about United Cutlery. But then it could be like S&W with Taylor.

I also have questioned Colt's ability to make a good knife. I have a Colt Pathfinder which really is a terribly finished knife, but this Mk-4 is a different story.
