Colt Question

I've got one, these are made in China though, not Taiwan..

Knife itself is actually not bad, mine came razor sharp and is a 440C full tang blade. I kinda like it myself, it's not the greatest knife for sure, but it's usable.

The sheath is pretty thin leather, holds the knife securely, but I doubt it will last long.

I tried on of the folders in this line, but took it back to the store after I opened it, you could actually shake it when the blade was open and locked and hear it rattle.....

Are Colt knives taiwanese or decent quality?

As far as I know, Colt contracts out the actual manufacturing of their knives. That means one can be good and another not, expecially if they contract out to different factories and even in different countries.

But the country of manufacture has nothing to do with the quality of the knife. There is no contradiction in a fine knife being made in Taiwan.

It doesn't matter where it was made. I've seen some Colt folders which were made in Germany, and they were pathetic.

i have handled a few and there is better stuff for the $$ around, a spydie byrd for one.
