Picked up Seasons 1, 2 and 3 this week while down here in Clearwater FL
always liked the quirky detective and I think my daughter will like it also.
She has kinda the same tastes in movies/tv series that I do.

Anyone else pick this series on dvd yet?

Didn't realise you could get them on DVD. Sounds like I'll be making a trip to the DVD shop. :)

I liked that show but, for some bizarre reason, satellite TV here insists on airing it a 2:00am or some similarly stupid time.

Everytime I put Columbo on my wife leaves the room, I always liked the wierd little guy, kinda like an antique Monk if ya ever seen that show.

My wife has a crush on Columbo.
Don't know how to feel about that...I mean what does it say about me?
It was a good show, thanx for the line on a Christmas present.

That's OK, I think I know the answer :D

Could be worse, she could like Mr Furley.

The greats wore trench coats.
Bogey, Columbo, Clouseau.
:D

Good to hear others also enjoy it, got it on sale at Bestbuy for 19.99 right now
pretty good price for each season, they didn't have Season 4 on hand down here
will check when I get home tomorrow night.

I don't see the problem. Every time I converse with you it is 2 am here. Just turn on the tube...

:p

I loved Columbo. One of my favorite episodes was "Now you see him" with Jack Cassidy as an ex-Nazi murdering magician. The vibe is pure 70's and the repartee between Cassidy and the other characters is pure gold.

Spoiler Alert! - - -

And the end, where Cassidy uses his magician skills to burn the incriminating letter in front of Columbo is priceless. The way Columbo whips out multiple copies of the letter with a dramatic flourish - fantastic.

I'll watch it if theres nothing else on while I'm flipping channels, but I preferred him in the In Laws.

Gonna have to pick up the Columbo series on DVD for my dad.

Have to head up to our local Bestbuy tomorrow and see what they have
on the shelves and grab #4, 5, and 6&7 are together I think.

One episode was filmed on the campus of The Citadel in Charleston. My wife's father was on facility and lived on campus. My wife has a license tag that was placed on their car during the filming. It is a fake CA tag.

Peter Falk is a classic, as was his Columbo. Kind of a more modern, shaby, Sherlock Holmes.

"Oh, just one more thing..."

Yep, I tell folks that I feel like Columbo when I turn around and ask 'one more thing' :)

Well I checked the local Bestbuy, no luck, nor Wallyworld
so I checked online to order from Bestbuy and the price went
up since getting those three seasons :(
Guess I should have gotten the ones around the 4th season for the time being while
I was there, $20 wasn't too bad a deal at the time...
