congrats on the great deals for whoever picks these up :thumbup:

Don't know if it was her intention, but Aunt Yangdu just squared us away on something that's been kicked around a bit here. Several have noted that the biggest Pen Knives bear a marked resemblance to a WWII in shape. So here she puts two of them having the same handle/finish side by side for us to see for ourselves. They do indeed look similar, but they aren't exactly twins, the subtle differences being readily recognizable thanks to Yangdu's excellent photography. Thanks Aunt Yangdu. I have a feeling these pictures will continue to be referenced for some time to come.

i would go for the ww2, but i have a katjune on the way. i have a very cute ganga ram by kami Vim. i like his work alot- very study, and as it was a rough villager peice, i wasnt afraid of polishing-sharpening it. its one of the very few blades i use regulary- even the karda gets used to open my mail. plz exuse me, need to clean up my drool....ahem..ww2..!

i know i shouldn't. damn. but well.

it reminds me a lot of a BK&T machaxe it does. just different. the wee little pen knife i have (must get a scale...) is pretty spiffy, and the edge profile is such that it's a cuttin' knife to be sure. oh yeah.

ETA: got it. go me.

I gotta monitor this site more closely for the larger Pen Knives. One of these days I will be quick enough.

hey, i'm sharp sharky McShark and i miss out a lot too.

but esp since well, it took a pen to give me pen fever. nifty stuff.

and SOME people keep buying the really large sgt khadka offerings out from under me. you know who you are. :}

I'd like to see those two in a head to head review. It would be neat comparing there performances on various chores. I was going to post about there similar profiles but Sarge beat me to it.

The WWII is nice, but no no, I'm holding out for the villager BAS I have always dreamed of. Someone snag the WW before I change my mind.

Wow, I wish I had been paying attention today! I would have been all over that pen. That is the perfect pen knife in a size I don't have. And Aardvark is right; you can see the grain ready to pop in that handle. Really nice knife, and what, $55 below what the first 15"ers went for? :eek:

Great snag. :thumbup:

Sweet! I snagged the WW2 for a friend of mine. It will be his first Khuk. He had me on the lookout for a good deal and this one is too good to pass up. I will post a review and pics when he gets the blade.

They look like twins to me, but the fraternal type rather than identical, or siblings that have a striking resemblance. Nice, nice, nice.

You should post a review of that Pen Knife. That is a real beauty and looks like an excellent user. I bet it chops like a demon. :thumbup:
