Here is my Combat Axe. It is made from 1/4" S30V, 60Rc and cryotreated. The handle is brown burlap Fibermascus. The flats are beadblasted and the grinds are brushed...The Axe is razor sharp on the main edge and the spike is ground abit steeper to get a strong yet still sharp tip. kydex beltsheath and can be carried both handle up and down.

I don't usualy like this style of axe but ! there is something about this I like

don't realy want to step on toes but it looks like the sheath is open at the bottom and is held in place buy the tight form and that hole helps

nice shaped head how much are they?

that is what i am thinking also, but i didnt see any type of lip to make it easier to slide into it. do you have to pull it apart somehow to get it started in?

Nice looking head pattern, the grip seems a little problematic though and squarish, you might want to consider additional contouring, especially near the end for security.

Thank you for the kind words!

The sheath has a natural "lip" where the handle comes out of the sheath....I just insert the edge there......here it is shown allthough witha shouldrig instead of on a belt...but works the same..when I pull the axe out I just pull hard....

Excellent design, perfect size, great sheath, great-looking fit'n'finish.....now, just make the steel S7 or something and it's perfect ;)

That is a NICE axe!...But if I were building it, I'd put thicker, rounder, wider panels (G-10 scales) on the handle, as well as making the chopping blade just a little wider, with a slight "hook" upwards on the top edge (to match the bottom edge).
