Nothing like chopping with a 9.
Today, I broke in my new BK-9, bought recently when there was one of those "crazy temporary price" sales.
I had a big pile of limbs that needed to be burned, and the BK-9 processed them like a champ.
Crappy cell phone pics, but so be it.
I'm keeping the ramp on this one!
Fire!
The edge took a few dings because I was chopping frozen and knotted wood. My first inclination was to run around wildly and flail my arms.
I managed to rein myself in with moderate success.
After that wave of emotion passed, I had to subdue an urge to post "OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! MY EDGE IS DINGED! WHAT CAN I DO????" in the Becker subforum.
Instead, I had a Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA. That helped.
Then, I just did what I always do with dings. I dealt with it. Hit it with a steel and then my machete file and then my diamond sharpener.
After that, I ran a couple of passes on my India stone and finished it off on the Sharpmaker. Good as new.
