Combat Cleaver

[David Stifle]

This is a large, light and fast cleaver designed for combat. The blade (80CRv2 steel) is 12" long with a 10" cutting edge. It also has a point for thrusting. It weighs 1.2lbs. The spine is 3.16's and is fileworked with a vine pattern. The handle is carved stag colored with potassium permanganate with a Turks Head knot sandwiched between two coined brass disks.

yes, both the bevel and the flats are hollow ground. I ground the flats to reduce weight.

yes it is, the hand locks in nicely with no hot spots, the balance is good (right behind the turks head knot) and it is very responsive and lively indeed. Thank you for your comment.
