Just discovered these, don't recall any posts here.
Any of you all, have one? what's your thoughts on them?

Wilson Combat has their own subforum under manufacturers. There might be more info there.

I think the Combat Elite are a different knife to the Wilson Combat. IIRC Darell Ralph and Ryan Wilson are the people behind CE

I have a level 3g, which is just that knife with g-10 inlays. Cant stress enough how much I love it - when its not in my pocket, its on my dresser because I'm asleep.

Its just the right size IMO - carries well, being thin enough not to put a bulge in your pocket while also packing a good sized blade. Comes pre-drilled for either tip down or tip up carry. Very comfortable to hold and use. Action is very smooth and fast. Mine locks up at about 60%

The only thing I would caution on - despite being a relative mundane folder, some sheeple may get scared off by the color scheme and the words "Combat Elite" on the blade.

ajpalda, thanks for your thought on the knife.
Not a bad looking knife at all, titanium, frame lock smooth lines.
Wonder what the negatives are? there must be some :p
Or are they as flaw free as a Sebenza, as we like to think.:D

Hmm, maybe my knife critiquing skills are not up to par - but I just pulled out a small sebenza to compare to. A large might be a better comparison, but I dont have one yet :P

The blade on the CE is a bit off-center, and it takes a bit more force to get the blade off the ball detent (which might not be a detraction, since its a larger blade). Once its clear though, it seems about as smooth.

Saber grip is very comfortable, but reverse grip - not so much.

The orginal Combat Elite's (When Darell Ralph was involved.) were excellent!! I do not care for the quality of the Wilson Combat variety. YES, I have handled them.

I'm confused then  the discription given on all the models reads.

Manufacturer: Ryan Wilson & Darrel Ralph

The Wilson Combat ti frame folder is a collaborative design between Ryan Wilson and Darrel Ralph.
3.995" 440C-OS Hollow Ground Blade that is extraordinarily Sharp. This Stainless Steel Blade is coated with "Wilson Combat Armour Tuff" which is the same coating that has been used for many years on Wilson Combat"

You may be looking at the description of one of the original models. The CE knives on the Wilson Combat site only list as being in S30V or regular 440c, while the "old school combat elite" knives were, if I recall correctly, made in 440C-OS (something unique to the company), which was before S30V got popular. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
