Looks neat, just too futuristic for me. I like the AG Russell sandbox bowie or the JK C/U 6. Still tactical with more of a classic line.

Eh. Seems like all CNC, no knife design. And at 500 dollars US?!?

Maybe it's because I have no idea what "combat knife" is supposed to mean in the real world. Gotta love Zu Bladeworks' copy on their page, though:

"...We specialize in edged tools and breaching/demolition hand tools. Our products are designed with military use in mind but may also be suitable for civilians who require high end, industrial strength tools. ... "

I always get a kick out of the "Built for high-speed operators...but you may be able to handle one if you are man enough...well are you?!?" approach to advertising.

That said, I'm sure its more about the sheath that it happens to be in (yours). :D The two tone kydex is pretty cool.

Indeed. I wonder how much it'd cost to get someone to machine such a design out of a block of A2?

Don't get me wrong, CNC work like that is both an art and skill. But having that ability doesn't necessarily equal having the ability to design a knife.

Again, maybe it is a well-designed "combat knife". I'm just not sure what that means. It does have a "blood groove"! It certainly seems "stabby," but I wonder if that handle wouldn't be problematic/slippery being dead straight and just bare metal like that. Some kind of grippy surface or finger grooves might help.

Oh, I meant that, in this particular case, it seems like the CNC machine did most of the work, so the price seems a bit high.

However, I've only been "into" knives for a few months, so I'm not very familiar with the pricing.

"Sniper Grey" - kills me. Reminds me of a guy I knew who worked at a poster framing place while in collage. Said when a guy came in, he could sell any color frame he wanted by adding the word "gunmetal" before the color - gunmetal blue, gunmetal green, gunmetal purple...said it worked like a charm.
