I'm just curious. I have what was called a combat recruit when i bought it in 1996, but since then people that have seen it have called it a police recruit. What's the diffrence? I can supply a pic to someone that might post it here if that helps. I do know it's 5/16th stock and flat black finish. If you can post a pic to this thread i'll send one your way, thanks.

:D

Tyuio, if you the pic of Andre's Police recruits on BadMojo.tv, picture PR3, the knife on the bottom is actually a Combat Recruit.

In picture PR4, the difference is more readily apparent. The top knife is the Combat, all the rest are Police.

The Police is a bit longer, has a different handle grind, and a different hole pattern.

There were some Police Recruits with the Combat-style hole pattern (I've seen 1). I was told that the Combat style patterned Polices were A-2, and that the larger-center-hole pattern in later Police Recruits signified INFI. This is rumor, and has not been confirmed.

Hope this helps man.

Mike

Well near as i can tell it's a 5/16th police recruit smooth black finish in A-2. Now i'm confused again...

Tyuio, I own both models, the Police recruit is identical
to the combat recruit only larger overall. From what I was
told the Police recruits with the larger center hole were
Infi and all others were A-2. I think the CR was made in
A-2 only and very few were made compared to the PR.
