Combat Special MKII

This is the newest incarnation on the Combat Special...I think this is the way I'll make them from here on out. Different from the Super Combat....but incorporates some of the same features.

7.5" L6 blade

Black Micarta guard

G/10 handle

Black Kalgard finish

Greg, the Kalgard finish looks awesome! I really dig the g10/black micarta combination. There's nothing fancy or extraneous on that piece, just pure go.

The finish...Kalgard...also called GunKote is available from Brownells. I sandblast (heavy sand) the blade and handle after all is assembled...then heat the knife up to where it is just uncomfortable to touch....with the handle masked off...I spray the coating with an airbrush....let it air dry for 20 min...then bake at 300F for 30 min.

Looks good Greg ... and this is how my Covington collection grows. I should probably get you the specs that I want in the custom job first. Been a bit overworked lately. Have a great Christmas.
