Combat vs super karambit

Super Karambit is obviously considerably larger than the combat karambit. If you plan on carrying it often the combat is probably better as it is much more pocketable.

As much as I love Emerson I personally believe a liner lock (particularly Emersons which can be hit or miss) is not suitable for a Karambit you may be planning on using for self defense. The reason being that karambits are particularly prone to taking hard hits to the spine of the knife which may cause the lock to fail. This has to do with the way they are held and the shape of the blade.
