Can anyone else attest for this blade? I'm very curious about the N690 steel if anyone has any long term use information? I love that blade thickness in such a thin handle design. As always expected mostly all of us love titanium and g10 with a deep carry pocket clip. Everything about this knife seems perfect to me, I just have no experience with the blade steel. If anyone has any info they think can help me then feel free to chime in. :thumbup:

Thanks Again Guys,
Nick

spyderco did a collaboration with jerry hossom on a fixed blade series (daykiker, forester,etc) using this steel. from my understanding N690co is like European version of VG-10.

I have a couple of Fox knives (they make the M1) with this steel. They take and hold an edge well. I've had them for about six months, and I'm happy with them. I have some SOG's in VG10, and they do seem to retain an edge equally. My VG10 experience goes further back, and it's a personal favorite for edge holding. I've been using a rather toothy edge on the N690 for heavy cardboard and nylon strap cutting, and it holds that edge surprisingly well. Better than S30V in my experience. Just picked up some Wilson ELC's after Nutn's review. I like the steel, at least the way Fox handles it.

I have a benchmade monochrome and rant 10505 with N690co, I also like the steel, easy to sharpen and holds an edge well, I'd also say its in the vg-10 or 154cm category.

Thanks for all your advice guys. Loved everything about the knife, I just wanted some reassurance on the blade steel being comparable to vg10. Seems like its a home run for me in that case.

I have a few knives that use this steel, by Spyderco and Extrema Ratio. It is a very good steel, IMHO it holds an edge even better than VG-10.

I've been carrying M1s for over a year, now.
Top notch in all respects.:thumbup::thumbup:

Its impossible to get on the forums. Ive been trying for months. No one is selling. It came up recently and I just missed it. Barely ever see one though.
