These two knives keep popping up on my radar.

I try not to do many of these comparison threads. As most seem to fly apart faster than a fifty-five grain bullet out of an early M-16. But here goes.

Looking at these two as a possible multi-purpose hard use knife. Not really a dedicated fighter, survival or camp knife specifically. But one that would sufice in any of those situations. Something I could throw in a Mountainsmith Day Pack with a 5x7 tarp, some Para-cord, fleece, compass and a few other essentials and feel comfortable in having most of my bases covered.

Probably should go with a Grohmann #3 Jump Knife, I managed for years with a Basha and a Buck 102 Woodsman. But my inner Rambo has me curious about these two.

Specifically looking for feedback on these two models. Not really looking for suggestions on other knives that may be better or worse. Have an ESEE-6, KA-BAR, Sog Force, and all the other usual players.

Most of my knives lean more in the woodsy direction.

Obviously the fair comparison would be the shorter of the two Hogues.
I will try and add specs and reviews as I find them.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
LV,

Edit,
I should mention that I am looking at the newer version Salus with the drop point not the tanto version.
