i have finally completed a combo sheath for these two FBF models after having dreamed about it for a while. I have only made a handful of simple pouch sheaths as of right now and this one proved to be a challenge at first but overcome i did. It's a bit wonky in a couple of spots but overall very pleased wth how it came out.
The models are the Bushpik and a woodpecker, both rare models i think. I only remember seeing a few of each and that was a while ago. Red burlap micarta and black pins with black liners just set them off. I love a matching set of knives like this. Well almost matching i guess the pin configuration isn't the same but hell it's close enough for me. It should prove to be a great camp set for me when paired with a axe. Hopefully i might get some dirttime one of these days to give'em a run.
here's the pics, random objects for scale. thanks for looking.

That looks really nice.
Been thinking of a similar combo with a skinner/gut hook
I wish I had the patience and skills.

Well done! That's not an easy job for an experienced leather guy and you've pulled it off nicely. If you ever have questions on leather work, feel free to shoot me an email.

thanks for the commets guys, yeah it wasn't easy Rick as i'm still pretty new to alot of the leather stuff. Took me two tries, i biffed the first sheath up and decided to just start over. If i ever have any questions Rick i'm keep you in mind thanks.

Man, that is cool. There were only a few of each of those models. I haven't totaly done away with the Bushpik, but I haven't made one in a year or so.

Nice work on the sheath.

thanks andy, you should build some more of those bushpiks great knife. Full size handle, blade just a bit short of full size, that's ideal for me on medium belt knife like this.

That's pretty cool, I'm used to seeing/making "piggybacks" and the side by side is neat. The natural micarta and the color of the leather are a great match too.

Way to go distuster! I am jealous. I have a couple of matched sets that would look great in a rig like that. Someday...
