Greetings!

Below are the names of folks who have financially contributed to Vampire Gerbil and have not yet added the Flying VG Wings to their signature. You did a good thing by contributing and you deserve to add the wings.

I am posting the icon which includes a link back to the original contribution thread so that other members can click on your signature icon to find how what it means.

I can't thank you enough for what you all are doing for VG. I am waiting for Dave's new monitor to arrive so I can get his computer ready to go. If all goes well, Dave should be back online the weekend of November 4th.

Wouldn't it be just totally awesome for him to get back on BFC after his long absence and be blown away by how much people really care about him? And that will be evidenced by the large number of Flying VG Wings Dave will see in all of the contributor's signatures.

Let's overwhelm him with this visual show of support. Please add the wings if you have contributed financially to his Gerbilness.

Click on the quote button for this post and you'll see the code. Then go to your User Control Panel, Edit Signature, and paste it in. :)

 
That's quite a list. The names go back to 2004, the people that contributed after Dave's wife Stacey was killed, while he was in a coma, the Mac Mini computer and most recently the Guardian Angels. Some of the folks on the list may not be around anymore, some aren't paying members and can't post a signature. But, there's a lot of names on the list that could help welcome VG back, by adding the wings to their signature.

You know when VG gets back here there's going to be a Welcome Back thread. Let's see how many Flying VG icons we can get up by then. If you're name is on the list, please add the Wings icon, (you don't have to keep it there for long). If you know people on the list please point them to this thread. If you really feel you should be on the list, add the wings. Finally if you contributed to VG, but aren't a paying member here you may want to take this time to consider without Bladeforums you wouldn't know anything about Vampire Gerbil.

Geez, Phil. That could discourage the weak of heart folks from wanting to participate in Bladeforms! :D When VG gets back, some might flee!!!!!!:p

Judy, Thanks for putting this together, I just read about the GA thread and will contact you to help out with that.

Groovy, stjames. All contributions are welcome and needed and will be put to good use helping the Gerbil.

I'll be going to Pahrump again on Nov 4th to try to get some more organizing and cleaning done on his apartment. And hopefully, his monitor will arrive on the 30th and I can hook up his computer here at home and make sure it is working before I go out on the 4th. I'd love to have him hooked up and logged onto the internet on the 4th.

p.s. It was really cool when the first bunches of checks arrived. My friend at work usually picks up my mail when she goes to the post office - so she comes back to my office and hands me a bunch of envelopes from men with checks inside made out to me! I just said, "Uh... for services rendered." ;)
 
I really feel bad that I'm not able to send any money to help out our VG, but I'm pretty damn poor, and still trying to pay-off the rest of my $2000 bill for the stitches that I had back in June.:(.:(.
 
Dann, there's not a doubt in my mind that you would help if you could, but sometimes we just can't. In 2005 when they made the collection for the Mac Mini, I couldn't help, I was broke. I've been broke more than once in my life.

Let me make you an offer since I really want to see as many BFC members as possible with wings when VG gets back.

Email me for Dave's phone #. If you just give him a call, see how he's doing, that would be good enough for me, to earn you're wings.

This goes for Dann or anyone else that can afford a phone call.
