My wife and I celebrate over 10 years of her tolerance and 9 years of marital bliss on April 14, 2010. She has agreed to let me order a Bushie for our anniversary, but I have an addition to this brainchild. I want to order a matching blade for her. Matching in elements anyhow. I want amber G10, scandi grind and bullseye lanyard hole on my Bushie. So, what I'm asking is "What would you get your lady and why?" Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

Congratulations (on the anniversary and the knife)!

Well, what kind of woman is she? I mean, what would she use the knife for?

You do mean something of Andy's, right?

I would say a Ladyfinger or a modified ladyfinger. If your wife would use it as is just get the Ladyfinger and maybe get a custom sheath with her initials or a special carving and your anniversary dates or something in it.

Or see if Andy would grind a ladyfinger size blank but half or 3/4 as tall and maybe a little thinner, like a paring knife. He's been working with some 440C, wouldn't that be suitable for the kitchen. I'd be happy with an 0-1 kitchen knife but you'll have to keep it dry and oiled.

Maybe even a Runt with some specially selected handle material.

Of course if she's a butcher maybe you should get her a bow-legged chopper. If she gardens maybe you should get one of those machetes before they are totally gone.

Absolutely Fiddleback for this. She's an outdoor gal for sure when the season comes. A runt is looking really good for what she generally does while outdoors. A ladyfinger could be part of a pair too. I am also thinking of asking Andy for a "9" stamp if possible.

I would with out a doubt get her the Bow legged chopper!!

:D

Just kidding, But with all joking aside. The Fiddleback Lady Finger is a no brainer. It is smooth, sexy, and sleek. Strong enough for a man, but sexy enough for a Lady:thumbup:

He recently put a Scandi Grind on it, and it looks great!

I'd like to try to order that by accident. Like totally throw Andy under the bus.:foot:;):D I could tell my wife " I can't send it back, he made it especially for you. He just misunderstood my order.":D

Probably not though, I will probably go with a Runt or Ladyfinger. The latter more likely since she carries a Swamp Rat HR usually.

Are you absolutely certain that she wants a knife for her anniversary?

No, she doesn't. This is in addition to jewelry and a short trip. The blade will probably be more important to me than her, but she will use it and appreciate the sentiment. I want her to have something matching and high quality as well since I don't wear a ring. Well not in the conventional sense.

I got my girlfriend a Karda for christmas. With pink G10 handle. It's just perfect for her.

A ladyfinger without question. My diminuitive wife likes that model best
