Well after some reading and some looking I've decided this in the first Busse I want:

HRBlkMag.jpg

Or something very like it. Now I'm wondering when the next one of these extravaganza things is... of if I should just wait until Blade next year...

That's actually a good choice for a couple of reasons.

One - its a very good knife.

Two - there are quite a few of them around and you probably have a pretty good chance of finding one just like it at a decent price in the secondary market.

Good luck.

There's been a few of those lately in the Exchange. You might want to check over there as there may be one or 2 right now. Welcome to the sickness ;)

Good Choice
Email Busse and see if they have any left from the Extravaganza. It's worth a try and you may get lucky. Explain that you are a newcomer, you know you are late and if you mention you aren't picky(unless you are) on the handle color you may get lucky and get one at retail. That is what I'd try first, then I'd try the exchange

Good luck and let us know the outcome

:D:D

I was going to suggest that too... you never know, and one just like that one or close would be hard to find. Although there are often HR for sale you don't see Black/Black with mag slabs out there much.

I see new ones weekly on the exchange. There are two currently on the 'bay, one is listed with 'buy it now.' You're a few months late as there was a surplus at the company store during the beginning of the summer.

That's an excelent choice! It's a nice camping blade:thumbup:

I just bought one of those, only Urban Gray with standard snakeskin micarta scales. It will be my second Busse (first was an AK-47). I hope I like this one as much as I love my AK :D

I would love to get a black/black with mag handles as well. It just looks so evil; in a good way  I think they're pretty hard to come by though.

Ikarus

I see that you are located in Norway. Have you had any problems as far as bringing the knives in your country is concerned? What is tax percentage that they levy?

No problems bringing any knives (or swords) into Norway, as long as it's not a switchblade

You have to pay 25% VAT, but that's it.

Carrying them is another matter. It's illegal to carry any kind of knife (or any kind of sharp object capable of causing injury or death) in a public place here. You're allowed to carry a knife while camping/hiking or whatever though.

25% VAT:eek:? WOW! That is a lot of money! But you know what? BUSSE's are really very well made knives. It is a pity though that man's most ancient tool (i.e. the knife) gets to be treated (tax wise) as if it were diamonds:mad:.

We have to pay 25% VAT on EVERYTHING here in Norway :grumpy: I'm just glad I don't have to pay any import taxes to get my knives.

It's much worse for cars, as they often end up costing 3-4 times as much as in the US :(

I feel for you:( . To me, there is no doubt the U.S.A. is a consumer's paradise and this includes pretty much everything: from cars to (of course) knives!
