Coming back to blades - Best Brands and Sleepers these days?

I've been away from blades for a while. Looking to get a few nice traditional folders. What have I missed in the last 10 years or so - who makes a good blade that isn't some Chinese junk. Not opposed to cheap and good like Svord used to be, or a little spendy. Looking for ideas. I like Case (still do), liked CRKT, and some other mid-priced decent quality brands. What should I look for now?

I would have to say that Case is still great, and getting better!
Don't even bother looking for GEC knives though, unless they are on the exchange here. They are unobtanium, and over rated too in my opinion.

And Chinese has become not junk while you were away.

Civivi or we are basically premium knives now.

Possibly the modern-traditionals are the new thing of the past decade. Look into Lionsteel, for example.

GEC makes a great knife. Rarely do I get one with any issues. They may be hard to get but worth it. Just my opinion.
